Residence Permit Cancellation in Antalya: What a Real Case Shows

An English case-led explanation of residence permit cancellation, deportation measures, notification and the need to act on official deadlines in Antalya.

Residence permit problems can become urgent when a permit is cancelled or a deportation decision is issued. A real Constitutional Court record involving Antalya shows why the documents, notification dates and procedural steps must be reviewed immediately.

The case in outline

The case concerned a foreign national who had studied in Türkiye. The Antalya Migration Administration cancelled the person’s student residence status and issued a deportation decision after finding that the person had worked without the required permission. The person challenged the measures.

What happened later

After the Constitutional Court application was lodged, the residence-permit cancellation was annulled on appeal and the deportation decision was removed. The Constitutional Court therefore dismissed the individual application because the alleged violation and its consequences had ceased.

The practical lesson

This is not a general promise that every cancellation or deportation decision will be removed. It shows the importance of obtaining the actual administrative decision, recording when and how it was notified, and checking the available objection, court and interim-protection routes without delay.

Documents to preserve

  • Passport and entry records
  • Residence permit card and application documents
  • Employment or education records relevant to the decision
  • The cancellation or deportation decision
  • Notification envelope, electronic notice or delivery record
  • Every objection, court filing and official response

The case discussed here is Application No. 2019/40424. The official decision is in Turkish; this page is an English case note and not a substitute for a file-specific assessment.
